The Route of the Alps - Tour description
A childhood dream… A tour of the Alps on a motorcycle. We enter the mountains along the northern edge of Tyrol, then we head south to the Italian side along an awe-inspiring route before diving into the land of glaciers and through high valleys.
After crossing the Jura Mountains. we come back to our starting point riding the famous “blue line” of the Vosges.
Throughout France, Germany, Austria, Italy and Switzerland you will ride the extreme.

This Tour of the Alps is dedicated to everyone who dreams of riding gorgeous mountain roads on a motorbike.
Climbing from one valley into the next. Steep turns and sharp bends, endless serpentines and superb panoramas.
You'll cross major passes on the highest paved roads of the Alps, in breathtaking sceneries. Ride some of the highest paved roads of Europe.

Rates for guided tour - 2016:
- Driver in Double room: 5 774 €
- Driver in Single room: 6 455 €
- Passenger in Double room: 2 504 €
Requirements:
- All motorcycle renters are required to be minimum 25 years of age with two years of riding experience on a 600cc or larger motorcycle. They must have in their possession a valid driver’s license with a motorcycle endorsement from country or state of permanent residence.
- A 500 USD refundable deposit will be required regarding the GPS rental.
Tour services:
- 1 Professional tour guide driving a support/luggage vehicle,
- 12 rental days of a motorcycle with comprehensive vehicle insurance (deductible depends on the selected model),
- 1 pre-programmed GPS,
- Fuel,
- 13 overnights in comfortable premium hotels,
- Breakfasts,
- Hotel to dealership transfers, on arrival & departure,
- Entrance ticket to the Neuschwanstein Castle,
- Tour information package including safety tips and road map.

Day 1 | Arrival in Blaesheim (little Alsatian village near Strasbourg) | Bike pick up at the Harley Davidson® dealership in Fegersheim for those who choose the “rental bike” package. |
Day 2 | Blaesheim – Stein Am Rhein | The banks of the Rhine – Ride in the Black Forest "Schwarzwald" a large forested mountain range – The Rhine Falls - Night in Stein am Rhein a small town with a well-preserved medieval centre. The medieval part of the town has been pedestrianised and many of the medieval buildings are painted with beautiful frescoes |
Day 3 | Stein Am Rhein - Füssen | Small ride along the Lake Constance "Bodensee". Day riding in Austrian's mountains with high passes and looping roads - Vorarlberg - Night in Füssen. |
Day 4 | Füssen - Stans | Visit of the the world famous Neuschwanstein Castle and Schwangau – Tyrol |
Day 5 | Stans – Heiligenblut, Autriche (230 km / 143 mi) | Gerlos Pass – and the Gastein Valley |
Day 6 | Heiligenblut – Sillian (300 km / 186 mi) | Grossglockner Pass (a dream road for bikers) |
Day 7 | Sillian - Canazei | Villgraten Valley, (pure and untouched) - Cortina d’Ampezzo - Canazei |

Day 12 | Lauterbrünnen- Morteau | The Switzerland of your dreams and visions of chocolate (Interlaken, Wengen, Gstaad, Gruyères, the green canton of Vaud and the Swiss Jura) |
