Discover the scenic roads of Tuscany. Between fields of olive tree and vineyards they bring you to lovely medieval cities. Visit the historical city of Florence, Montepulciano, Sienna and its famous Piazza del Campo, Pisa and its leaning tower, Bolsena, Monteriggioni and much more.

The Tour of Tuscany is dedicated to everyone who wants to discover on a bike one of the most beautiful regions in the world. Best time to do this motorcycle tour:

  • Departures between May and September,
  • Arrival days to Nice : Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday,
  • Best months: June, September.

Rates for this self-guided tour - 2016:

  • Driver in double room: 4 733 €
  • Passenger in double room: 5 405 €
  • Single room supplement: 1 582 €
  • High season supplement (May, July & August):
    • 200 €/person in double room
    • 300 €/person in single room

Requirements :

  • All motorcycle renters are required to be minimum 25 years of age with two years of riding experience on a 600cc or larger motorcycle. They must have in their possession a valid driver’s license with a motorcycle endorsement from country or state of permanent residence.
  • A 500 USD refundable deposit will be required regarding the GPS rental.

Day 1 Cagnes sur Mer Arrival at the hotel. Meeting with your tour guide.
Day 2 Mondovi (190 km / 118 mi) Motorcycles pick-up. We start with a day through the Mercantour National Park. We enjoy the countryside of Nice and follow the Roya Valley. Night in Mondovi, charming little town and first contact with Italy.
Day 3 Sestri Levante (185 km / 115 mi) We’ll reach Portofino in Liguria, pearl of the Italian Riviera. On the afternoon we’ll ride along the coastal road to reach Sestri Levante, most charming village with its colorful houses, fishing boats and its main street.
Day 4 Lucques (Lucca) (270 km / 168 mi) We cross the Apuan Alps mountains by countless loops before reaching our destination: Lucca. We are entering Tuscany. This former merchant city is one of the most remarkable cities of the region.
Day 5 Florence (190 km / 118 mi) On our way to Florence, we’ll stop and visit Pisa with its famous leaning tower and later on our lunch break will take place in the medieval town of San Gimignano. We are in the heart of the Campagna Toscana, symbol of good life, hills covered with vineyards, country lanes lined with cypress and enchanting old buildings. This incredible ride brings you to the biggest city of Tuscany, Florence.
Day 6 Florence Florence is a real open-air museum. History is everywhere, art and culture lovers will enjoy it, as much as aficionados of shopping and fine dining enthusiasts. Our guide will do his best to help you enjoy this unique day.
Day 7 Sienne (110 km / 68 mi) We'll spend the day on the “wine trail”, touring around the hilly vineyards that make the Chianti region one of the most famous in Italy. The day will end up in Siena, beautiful medieval city remarkably preserved, with its famous Piazza del Campo.
Day 8 Bolsena (172 km / 107 mi) Today the route starts in the breathtaking landscapes of the Crete senesi. Then we’ll ride on the Mount Amiata, peak of Tuscany, just before entering the territory of Lazio.Arrival at the old town of Bolsena built on the lakeside.
Day 9 Monte pulciano (124 km / 77 mi) We'll ride a major part of the day on a sublime ridge between Orviedo and Chiusi. Stunning views of the valley. This short raid in Umbria should delight any rider. Arrival in Montepulciano, city known worldwide for its "Vino Nobile".
Day 10 Monteriggioni (186 km / 116 mi) We find the heart of Tuscany as displayed on postcards. Pienza, Montalcino, etc... A wonderful day! We arrive in Monteriggioni, small fortified village on the Via Francigena, major route used by pilgrims during Middle Ages.
Day 11 Marina di Massa (250 km / 155 mi) Vinci, birth place of Leonardo, we are now in the mountainous part of Tuscany with its chestnuts and beeches. We’ll tour around the marble caves of Carrara. Everything is white like snow there! At the end of the day, we arrive at Marina di Massa, typical seaside resort on the Tuscan Riviera where we can relax.
Day 12 Barolo (260 km / 161 mi) Today, we’ll cross Liguria and enter the region of Piedmont. Arrival at Barolo, small medieval town that gave its name to the most highly recognized Italian wine.
Day 13  Cagnes sur Mer (210 km / 130 mi) By a country road, we reach the city of Cuneo. Last Italian ristretto coffee before riding up several passes. We’ll appreciate a final steep descent on Nice. Beautiful last ride!
